We want to share with you a bike route through Presa de Los Pérez next to the Natural Park tamadaba y Artenara. In the northwest area of the island of Gran Canaria, which runs through an idyllic landscape for hiking or mountain biking. In this case we did it with enduro bikes. However, the reality is that a A large percentage of the climb must be done off the bicycle, due to its positive slope and several steps prohibited for bicycles.
Enduro circuit through the Los Pérez and Tamadaba Dam
We chose the Los Pérez dam to leave the cars since we prefer to start going up and finish going down. A happy ending lifelong. The reality is that the beginning of the route is everything uploaded until La Gorra Peak. We leave at an altitude of 843 m and crown two hours later at 1.393 meters. At this point, the views of the summit, Artenara and the area's dams are spectacular. Below, you can see all the technical details of the route.

Once we reach the highest point, we begin to descend towards Artenara. Through numerous narrow roads or paths loaded with flow. White soil normally covered with pine needles. This bike route through Presa de Los Pérez is a bit extreme in terms of climate. Since in summer it is usually quite hot and the ground is very dry. And in winter, when the terrain is perfect (wet), it can be quite cold. So come prepared for the occasion. Carry plenty of water in summer and shelter in winter.
