If you are also a fan of rice, in this list we share those that for us are the best rice in Gran Canaria. We will mainly mention rice restaurants, although we will also mention the restaurants that include a rice proposal that yes or yes you have to try. Keep reading to discover our recommendations on the island.

The 8 best rice dishes in Gran Canaria
Below, we share with you our humble opinion that includes the restaurants to savor the best paella in Gran Canaria, although the best term to refer to this Spanish dish is rice. Well, as you know, the paella is the container where it is cooked. In fact, in the Valencian Community they call each dish “rice with X”, such as rice with rabbit. Also "rice and X", such as the famous rice and crust (it ends with a baked egg). That said, let's go with our recommendations.
1) The Arrosar, The Quarries, (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria)
A few steps from Las Canteras beach we recommend The Arrosar, one of our favorite rice restaurants in Gran Canaria. His chef received training at the El Maestral and Nou Manolín restaurants in Alicante and They have more than 14 types of rice and fideuás on the menu (brothy, dry and honeyed). Our essentials are that of young garlic and cuttlefish and also black rice with chocos which are the ones we show you below. Although if I had to choose one, I would definitely choose the one with young garlic.

2) La Arrocería, El Perchel (El Pajar)
Within the Perchel Beach Club We also love La Arrocería. Here we have tested both the Señorito rice (señoret), such as scallops and octopus, both exquisite. In your letter there are a total of 10 options and the good thing is that You can choose different types of rice grains and even noodles for fideuá. It is clear that behind this proposal or executive direction there is an expert in rice. In this case it is Borja Conde, with training in cooking and a master's degree in rice at the Hofmann Barcelona school. Keep in mind that even though it is inside the beach club, you can access it without using the facilities. The Perchel is one of the best beach clubs in Gran Canaria, as we told you in our post on this topic.

3) Road to Jamonal and its squared creamy rice
If you fancy a good sticky rice made with meat, this one with beef churrasco squared Road to Jamonal you can not lose this. You can order two sizes: small square rice and large square rice. Camino al Jamonal is one of the restaurants in Las Canteras which we most recommend, although it is not a rice restaurant. Here their i's stand outbericots, salads (standard and caramelized), ropavieja, chickpea and tomato and avocado salad which are presented in a very original way.

4) Ribera del Río Miño, the best rice dishes in Gran Canaria with seafood
For seafood lovers, the Bank of the Miño River is an essential stop. Besides, They make 7 different rice dishes, between dry (with prawns and clams, black with squid...) and brothy (with lobster, with carabineros...) and a seafood fideuá. They only have one that is not seafood, the one with free-range chicken and vegetables, since this establishment specializes in fish and seafood. Are the Same owners as El Arrosar, although here we find prices a little higher.

5) @MarcoDasHaus, the best rice dishes in Gran Canaria to take away
If you prefer to enjoy a good rice at home, Marco Das Haus makes the best paella in Gran Canaria. They can provide the service at home and set up the beach bar with all their equipment or deliver the paella to your home. We have tried both options and the rice always arrives home perfect, never stale. But nothing better than eating it freshly made with its homemade aioli. We highlight the Señoret, the one with cheeks, the black one and the fideuá, all brutal! To contact Marco, we leave you here his Instagram. We recommend you contact him well in advance, in as much as He personally makes each rice.

There are other companies that make Paellas delivered to your home in Gran Canaria, like the one from @Conderechoarroces (Instagram), but we have not experienced it yet. We tell you this more than anything in case Marco is not available, so that you have another option.
6) Mother of Beautiful Love, Las Canteras
At Madre del Amor Hermoso they also make good rice dishes, although it is not a rice shop as such. We have only tested the black rice that comes with squid and cod and is wonderful. The best thing, being able to enjoy it with views of the sea next to the Las Canteras beach. If you come here, Don't forget to order the grilled octopus rejo and the crispy apple for dessert., brutal!

7) Majuga, Triana
In the historic neighborhood of Triana, Majuga It is also an excellent option where to eat paella in Gran Canaria. Whether it's a fideuá or any of their rice dishes. The fideua that we show you below is the one with cod, prawns and cuttlefish and aioli, although they also have about 14 options to choose from (between rice and fideuás). The service is excellent and in general the food is very good.

8) Canarian Liagora, Castillo del Romeral
Finally, para enjoy good rice in the south of the island we recommend Liágora, specialized in rice, fish and seafood. You find it in the town of Castillo del Romeral and for us it is also one of the best fish restaurants in Gran Canaria. We show you one of their rice with seafood and fish. Excuse us for the quality of the photo, it is a capture from a video (sometimes with so much video we forget to take photos).

And here they end our recommendations with what for us are the best rice dishes in Gran Canaria. We have good references from Karbon Kale rice with more than 15 types of charcoal rice, as well as those of Cauldron in Meloneras, but we haven't tried them yet. If you want to make any other contribution, we would love to read your comments. We leave you here other articles that may be of interest to you and a summary video.

I like your rice dishes and it's a shame that they don't also make it with rabbit and beans, which is delicious.
The truth is that they are not mine haha! I think the rabbit and beans one is made by @MarcoDasHaus!!
We will have to try the rice dishes from El Padrino and Hermanos Rogelio to see if we agree to expand that list from 8 to 10.
Excellent work
Thank you
thank you so much!!! a hug!
