You can see a summary in the map below and below a brief description and contact information of our favorites.
✔ Best restaurants in Las Canteras, La Cícer area
1. El Dorado, restaurant on Las Canteras beach with Canarian cuisine
El Dorado, offers canarian food with some current touch in some of its proposals. It is located a few steps from the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium. The best thing is its terrace with sea views. It has sun umbrellas and wind panels. We recommend the ropavieja, calamari, grilled cherne with wrinkled potatoes and Russian salad. The quality-price is one of the best on the beach. Also valid for a drink, since there is quite an atmosphere in this area. The price per diner is € 20-25.
2. El Paseo terrace restaurant, Canarian food restaurants in Las Canteras
Another option of Canarian food on the same avenue is the El Paseo restaurant. A place without frills that has a pleasant terrace with sea views. Ideal for having a few beers and snacks. The price per person is around €20.
✔ Restaurants in Las Canteras, Peña La Vieja and Playa Chica area
3. El Gallo Feliz, restaurants on Las Canteras beach with sea views
The Happy Rooster is one of restaurants in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria older. They have more than 50 years of tradition and are specialized in flambées and fondues. We love the oriental beef fondue that comes with more than 10 types of sauces, chips and rice. The bad thing is that you can't order it on their terrace because of the fire, but they have other specialties such as herring, sirloin with pepper or onion soup If you want to eat with sea views on its terrace on the promenade. For dessert don't miss their apple pie and crêpes suzette. We have a post from Happy Rooster restaurant if you want more information. The average price per person is around €35.
4. Bululú Canarias, one of our favorite restaurants in Las Canteras
Its cuisine has Venezuelan origins (arepas, cachapas and patacones), although it also has spectacular dishes such as its homemade foie. In their letter they also offer delicious vegan options such as watercress hummus with fried chickpeas. Finally, on their menu they have a super wide range of international beers. This is a place to go and share dishes, so you can try a little bit of everything. Therefore, the price per person is usually €20-30, depending on what you order. You have more information in our post Bululú Canary Islands.
5. Mount Lebanon, restaurants in Las Canteras with sea views
In Las Canteras there are many international food restaurants and one of our favorites is Mount Lebanon. As you can see in the following photo, It has a terrace next to the promenade. It is eaten super delicious and we can say that it is quite economical (about €20-25 per person). We recommend the falafel, Sambuseq Yebne (crispy dumpling stuffed with Lebanese cheese, onion and mushrooms) and the Arabic burgul with lamb and dried fruits. You can see exactly these three dishes below.
6. Bodega Extremeña, snack restaurants in Las Canteras
La Extremadura Winery is one of our favorite places to go for a snack next to Las Canteras. It offers regional products from Extremadura, such as cheese Torta del Casar. Also good hams from Guijuelo and Jabugo. We recommend the ham and foie montadito, salads, cheeks, Extremaduran “polvito”…Everything is delicious and very good quality-price, since you pay a few 20-25 € per person. Eye, They are not open on Saturdays for dinner, nor on Sundays. You can imagine how well they are doing...
7. La Bikina Cantina, cheap restaurants on Las Canteras beach
De The bikina We have already talked to you in other articles because we consider that it has it all: Different and rich gastronomic offer, friendly treatment, terrace on the Las Canteras promenade and good atmosphere. It specializes in world cuisines such as tacos, pad thai, pokés, etc. The price per diner is 20-25 €. They also have very good vermouth.

Mother of beautiful Love It has it all: an excellent gastronomic offer, quality in every dish, Spectacular views of Las Canteras beach, and a super pampered decoration. Among the dishes that you cannot miss are the Grilled octopus with mashed potatoes, black rice croquettes and its delicious black rice with codFor dessert, apple crisp is always a hit. If you are looking for where to eat in Las Canteras With an unbeatable view, this restaurant is a perfect choice.
9. El Arrosar Restaurant, a classic place to eat in Las Canteras
The Arrosar It is the typical restaurant that has practically everything good from the point of view of a Spanish diner: Iberian ham, fish and seafood, rice dishes, great winery and good desserts. We highlight their rice dishes, very on par with those on the Valencian coast. If we had to fault it, it is that it does not have a terrace or sea views, since it is on a street perpendicular to Las Canteras. We recommend black rice and garlic garlic with choco, as well as grilled squid, fried anchovies, coquinas, Galician empanada... The average price per diner is € 25-30.
✔ Restaurants in Las Canteras, La Puntilla area
10. Camino al Jamonal Restaurant
This site is a classic restaurant in Las Canteras to take good spanish tapas (especially related to the Iberian world). One of its most famous dishes for its presentation is its tomato and avocado tower. It is located right in La Puntilla, before turning towards the promenade that leads to the Confital beach. In addition to the tomato and avocado salad, We recommend the Iberian chickpea, the Iberian acorn-fed churrasquito, the salad…ah! and leaves room for their desserts that come in jars. We like the apple one, but there are a dozen options…
11. La Marinera & Casa Carmelo, two legendary restaurants in Las Canteras
Both Casa Carmelo and La Marinera (same owner) are two good options for eating in Las Canteras. Both are specialized in Canarian and Spanish food, but Casa Carmelo is more focused on meats and La Marinera is more focused on fish and seafood.. If you want to try the local fish, we recommend the cherne on the back and the old fry. You should also try the gofio scalding, made with fish broth.
The two restaurants have a covered dining room and terrace with views of the sea and the entire Las Canteras beach. The price varies from €25-40 per person, depending on whether you order fresh fish or some special meat and wine. We also recommend Order the house salad at either location. It has watercress, avocado, salmon, egg, onion, etc. It is the one we show you above.

Regards,
Ria Jansen

Hello,
I am an executive assistant for an English company. We are visiting Las Palmas at the end of the month as a team-building trip. I have booked the NH Imperial Playa hotel for my group of 23, but I have to book 2 restaurants for dinner as well. I love your articles about the gastronomy of Gran Canaria. I wanted to ask if you have any recommendations for such a large group that contains people with nut and gluten allergies and a vegetarian, too? Personally, I have never traveled to Las Palmas and have no experience with the food or restaurants there. I would be very grateful if you could give me some advice. The only other wish will be if at least one of the restaurants can be a traditional tapas/pintxos one.
Thank you!

The restaurants they have here are very good but there are more
Local Guide Gran Canaria says
Hello Josefa!! Yes, of course there are more, but we don't want to mention them all, otherwise it wouldn't be funny 🙂 Which one is your favorite?
Roy says
I see that many other restaurants are missing and they pushed aside the best places
Where to find a good pizza
Who makes the best American burgers?
Where to find the best meatballs, €1 tapas or where to have a good wine or a good beer, and of course what it tells us about vegans and breakfasts
Local Guide Gran Canaria says
Hello Roy!! Thank you very much for your comment. As you can see, they are our favorite sites. Our top 10 in Las Canteras. Obviously there are many more sites, but this is subjective, everyone has their own tastes. For example, hamburgers, pizzas and tapas for €1 are not very popular with us. It is not the type of food we eat and therefore would like to prescribe. Especially if we talk about the tourism that we want to visit Gran Canaria and if we want to be known for our fast and cheap food. A hug!

Extremadura winery: Guijuelo is from Salamanca and Jabugo in Huelva. They border with Extremadura.
