Our first visit to Majuga was a success, what stands out above all is the incredible service.
The cuisine does not disappoint and the prices are in line with what is out there.
Changing the subject, I have been told a lot about Cada Carmelo but I never see it on the recommendation lists?
Local Guide Gran Canaria says
Hello Josepha! Casa Carmelo is a staple, just like La Marinera (same owner). We love it, especially the location. Maybe in terms of service it is not excellent like the Majuga. It's difficult to choose the 15 best, believe us, but it's definitely in our restaurant guide 🙂 Greetings!
Jose Manuel says
El Rincón Canario was one of my favorite restaurants, until the previous owner transferred the business. Apart from raising prices excessively, quality is gradually decreasing. It's what I call living off income, although this is impossible in restaurants.
Local Guide Gran Canaria says
Hello José Manuel!! Thank you very much for your comment! It may be... if you look at our article, we include some Canarian food restaurants so that travelers who want to taste Canarian food also have good options in terms of Canarian products, service and location. It is difficult to find Canarian restaurants that do all the good things, it is clear that there are better places for other types of food, but thinking about Canarian food, unfortunately we at least don't know more... This article is also to help visitors who want to be able to taste our gastronomy in a pleasant environment, not only for residents looking for a place for a special occasion.

This list of restaurants is very successful. During our stay in Gran Canarias we have tried:
1. La Marinera, in Las Palmas. Good. Everything as expected. The restaurant of a lifetime. Very attentive and helpful waiters, locals. Good local product. Normal. Good.
2. Texeda, in Tejeda. An extraordinary place. The town and the restaurant. It is true that there is a lot of hospitality in the town for how small it is, and they all look very good. But if you want something more, something out of the ordinary, without a doubt, Texeda. There's just one but, we went on a hot July day and it was very hot. The premises are not conditioned or adapted to the circumstances. That type of detail or improvisation jumped out at me, for a place that has such high-quality cuisine.
3. And the third one we have tried has been Fuji, from Las Palmas, yes, in its home delivery service. It took them a while to bring us the food, but it was delicious.

Brilliant! We are glad we got it right! Yes, you are right, inland towns become stifling when heat waves come... you should avoid visiting them during these days and try to go to the coast, but we understand that in a short vacation period it is sometimes not possible! A hug
