25/09/2021 - Ruth González

At the Mr Kale restaurant you can try healthy cuisine at a good price in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria – City Life, History & Island Vibes and now also in the area of Maspalomas. Here you will find breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners based on real food. They also have a Exclusive menu of natural fruit juices and vegetarian proposals. However, it is not an exclusive site for veggies, since they have meat dishes on their menu.

We really like this place because of its location in one of the most pleasant pedestrian streets in the exclusive neighborhood of Triana y also from the Mesa and López area. Furthermore, in 2021 they opened their first restaurant in the south of Gran Canaria, inside of the Holiday World of Maspalomas. In all its locations They have an indoor dining room and terrace. Keep reading to know more!

Without a doubt Mr Kale is one of the few options for have a healthy and rich breakfast Gran Canaria. On the island in general there is a limited offer of breakfasts. It can be said that cafes and bocetarías are what sells the most. If you are like us and looking for a special breakfast every time you travel, Mr Kale will be a sure hit.

As we mentioned before, it stands out for its wide range of juices. With fruits, vegetables and practically all superfoods: spirulina, matcha, açai, gofio, oats, chia seeds… In the same way, They also offer delicious bowls, something that is becoming more and more fashionable. You can't miss the delicious toasts and different types of eggs.

Lunches, snacks and dinners Mr Kale

At Mr. Kale you will also be able to have healthy lunch and dinner. We recommend the delicious wok which can be combined in different ways. On the one hand, you can choose the base of the wok by choosing between noodles, path thai or quinoa. And, on the other hand, you can choose the protein: beef, chicken, free-range chicken and shrimp or tofu. Veryyyy good.

You can do the same with the poké bowls, they let you combine the ingredients as you wish. As you can see, we are talking about healthy, simple, cheap and quick meals. Another dish that we love is their grilled Norwegian salmon with quinoa and vegetables.

They also do Very delicious organic nachos and the tuna tataki salad that you can see in the following photos.

About Ruth González

Hello! I am RuthTourism expert, Canary Islander and traveler. Although I write, Local Guide Gran Canaria has two engines: Jorge (my partner) and I.

Here we merge my academic training (Graduate and Master in Tourism) with his mountain experience (MTB) to show you the real Gran Canaria: trails, landscapes and local off-the-beaten-path gastronomy.

Besides being your hosts on the island, we share guides to our trips so you can plan your getaways with the confidence of Follow routes that are 100% validated by us.

If we're not traveling or "tasting" restaurants, look for us in the mountains with our fur babies, Silver and Plata.

Shall we discover (and devour) the world together?
