Route along dirt tracks in Gran Canaria

Most of the track (approximately 75% of the total) runs on dirt tracks off road of little difficulty. The remaining percentage will be roads, normally secondary, to link these dirt tracks. It also goes through some other paths, but they are specific moments. Most of the time it passes through easy dirt tracks, although it is true that in dry or rainy seasons, there may be some areas that are slightly complicated due to the terrain being very broken or muddy.

this tour We recommend always doing it with company, with only one passenger per motorcycle and, if possible, without luggage. Hello Julio. You have to ask for permission from the Cabildo to do the Track route on a trail bike. To access the dirt tracks, especially in the upper part of the island. I have seen an article that to cross Tenerife, for example, you have to ask permission from the Cabildo of that island, and there are daily quotas. Greetings.

Hi ! Jorge, thank you very much for your videos and advice, just one question… Does this track have any kind of markings to let you know which areas are easy and which are complicated? I'm asking this for people with little experience like me so we don't get into any nasty trouble.

    Thanks prop.

Hello Julio! The track has no difficulty marks. Actually the entire track runs along tracks, except for a couple of points to join the tracks. I advise you to watch the two videos so that you can see the points of difficulty, which really are not too difficult, but you already know that the road is broken by the passage of 4×4s or motorcycles. The best thing would be that you go with one or two companions to do the route in case your motorcycle gets buried, you can get it out without much effort. The track, as I told you, does not have too much technical difficulty, but it is advisable that it NOT be the first time you go out on land with the Trail motorcycle.
Remember, as complicated as the track is broken, we would have a climb past Arucas, a climb past Valsendero, a climb at the end of Aguatona (Ingenio) and a descent past Gloria Palace. The rest is a breeze.
      Greetings and enjoy it!
