Bar Zurita, eat with views of Ojos de Garza Beach

01/01/2024 - Ruth González

El Bar Zurita You will find it in a privileged area of the Ojos de Garza beach, to the east of Gran Canaria. And privileged why? Because here you will be able eat canarian food with sea views. However, since it is the only restaurant in this corner of the Telde coastIf you want to get a table you will have to go very early. Another option is to arrive, take your number and while you go take a dip at the beach (yes, someone has to be aware of when it's your turn because they say the numbers out loud). We give you all the details below!

Bar Zurita, Ojos de Garza

This restaurant is specialized in canarian food and seafood in general. we have tried the wrinkled potatoes, the gofio, the squid, the mixed salad and the old octopus clothes.

One of the star dishes is undoubtedly the pulpo's old clothes. There are few places on the island where the ropavieja, instead of meat, includes octopus. If you don't know this dish, you should know that its Main ingredients are potatoes, chickpeas and meat (in this case it has octopus). Below, we show you photos of the dishes we ordered so you can appreciate the quantities and presentation.

You should be aware that The portions are quite large, even the half portions. Of the previous dishes, the ropavieja, the salad and the wrinkled potatoes are half portions. Calamari cannot be missing in beach restaurants, you know we are fans! As for the prices, they are quite affordable. We have eaten in 2024 for €20 per person.

On the other hand, as we told you, it is about only bar restaurant in this Telde beach. Therefore, it is VERY difficult to get a table on weekends and holidays. The On busy days you have to wait your turn, even arriving before 13:30 p.m.. In the same way, Parking on the coast of Ojos de Garza is super complicated, so keep that in mind if you want to get a spot.

Reservations and opening hours Bar Zurutaa

They are open Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday closed. If I remember correctly, they accept reservations, ideal if you plan to go in a group. We hope you like getting to know this site as much as we do. Remember Book in advance or try to be there before 13:00 pm so you don't have to wait long. To delicious Canarian food with sea views!

Very interesting is that "unknown" fishing town of Ojos de Garza, where the interaction of the Canarian people with the sea (and what it brings to its shore) is so intense and productive.
    Thank you very much
