In this post we propose a round-trip route by enduro bike from Arucas from about 4:30 hours at medium pace. The route has a distance of 40.24 km and runs 85% by land. They are mostly trails between trees in the area of Zumacal, Monagas and Firgas. On the other hand, the route covers another part of stone trails in the area of El Balneario de Azuaje and the mountain of El Picacho.

The cumulative positive slope is 1,329m. As for the technical level of the descents, it is high in several areas of the route. The descent of El Picacho is the most difficult of the day. And those of Monagas and Azuaje also require a certain technical level. We advise to have at least a nice technical and physical level to make this excursion.
The best bike for this route
The ideal bikes to do the descents without problems would be double suspension of at least 120mm. Although it might be advisable to reach up to 160mm in front and behind. For an electric bike the route is also suitable, advising to take the Eco mode so as not to run out of battery. However, this will depend on the battery that your electric bike has.
This Enduro bike ride is suitable to do at any time of the year. Although during the rainy days, the mountain of El Picacho is not recommended because of the type of mud that is created there. But the rest of the route is perfect for even raining.
