Circular enduro route from Ayagaures
Ayagaures is a well-known dam or reservoir in the southern area of Gran Canaria. It is usually very frequented by cyclists of all types of modalities, whether XC, road or Gravel. But the reality is that Not many riders know enduro routes in this area. The route starts from the reservoir itself, which in turn is the lowest point of the route. Which means that We are going to start going up, to end up going down with a good "happy ending."
At the same time, the track has a cumulative rise of over 1200m positive, of which approximately 50% are carried out carrying the bike. This possibly means that those who practice enduro with electric bikes may suffer more than normal, since there will be some point (few, promised), in which they have to carry the bicycle on their shoulder. The rest of the time you can climb it by "pushing" it.
On the other hand, many parts of the route can be cycled without problems, both on tracks and very little traveled trails. In the 4 hours or so that it took us, we only met 2 people, and we went on a "busy" Sunday. The week we did the track it had rained, so there were many people interested in the area to visit the waterfalls.
Town of Las Tederas
This Enduro route passes through the little town of “Las Tederas”, which can only be reached by a long dirt track. The route passes through places that certainly few people have visited with incredible views.
If you do the route after some good rains, you will be able to carry water in the small streams through which the track passes. Please note that in the final area, there is a small technical downhill segment. If you don't feel capable, you can walk down it without a problem.
