21/03/2023 Por Local Guide Gran Canaria 1 Comment

In this post we are going to share with you the cheap restaurants in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Gran Canaria that we know. It’s always nice to spend some time with your friends and family enjoying a good meal, so here are the classic cheap restaurants in Las Palmas and Gran Canaria. Here we go!

✔ Bodegón El Biberón, Puerto-Canteras

This site is located on a pedestrian street in the capital’s neighborhood called Puerto-Canteras. This is a nice, spacious restaurant with high ceilings. The service is very good and fast. Here you can try all kinds of Canarian and Spanish tapas at a very good price. It has several outdoor tables.

✔ La Bikina, Las Canteras

La Bikina is a restaurant or canteen as they call it where you can try international dishes such as poké, nasi goreng rice, pad thai, tacos, delicious burgers, etc. Best of all, in addition to being cheap and on the beachfront of Las Canteras, its cuisine is healthy. It has several tables on the beach promenade, that is, a very nice terrace.

✔ Los Botes, San Cristóbal

This restaurant specializes in Canarian food and seafood such as squid, fish tacos, etc. Here you can try some delicious potatoes with mojo sauce on the front line of the fishing village of San Cristóbal. In addition, it has a large terrace with sea views. Highly recommended.

✔ Kim’s Pojangmacha, Puerto-Canteras

This restaurant used to be one of the cheapest places to eat in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, but since it changed premises, prices are now around 25€ per person. Kim’s Pojangmacha restaurant is still very good and if you go with several people to share, you will probably pay a little less per person. Everything is delicious, though.

✔ Bodegón Pachichi, Guanarteme

It is a classic for having tapas in the Guanarteme neighborhood of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. They have recently incorporated healthier dishes into their menu such as the ones we show you below. Here you can try delicious cheeses, potatoes with mojo, chistorras, etc.

✔ El Dorado, Las Canteras

El Dorado restaurant is also on the beachfront of Las Canteras. It has a large terrace with views of the La Cícer area and the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium. They are specialized in Canarian food and seafood. Here you must try their ropa vieja, potatoes with mojo, croquettes, salads, cheeses, etc.

Another way to eat cheaply in the capital is to take advantage of the restaurants with set menus in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Take a look at the options we suggest. On the other hand, if you want to know which are our favorite restaurants in the city, we tell you about them in the following article.

We also want to add to the list of cheap restaurants in Las Palmas de GC those that we know outside the city. Take note!

✔ Bochinche Ca’ Tita, Marzagán

We can affirm that the Ca Tita bochinche is the place where you will eat the most for less money. The dishes and servings at this site are outrageously large. The best of all is that the prices are very cheap. If you don’t go before 1:30 p.m. on weekends, be prepared to queue. We recommend the fried octopus and the barbecue to share like the one we show you below. For dessert they have a delicious lemon cake.

✔ La Caldera, Firgas

This restaurant is also a kind of guachinche or bochinche, but it has the specialty of boiled ribs with corn. A typical Canarian dish that you must try. In La Caldera they also have delicious mushroom and spinach croquettes. We recommend that you go before 1:30 pm on weekends if you don’t want to wait for a table. It has no terrace.

✔ El Campesino (Casa Colacho), Marzagán

This place is known for its delicious fries with parsley, chickpeas, tomato and avocado salad. El Campesino restaurant is a very localguider site, so get there early to avoid queuing on weekends. It is very close to the Ca’ Tita bochinche.

✔ Casa Josefina, El Zardo

The Casa Josefina restaurant is famous for its roasted leg of lamb. They serve it with natural fries. If you are going to order this dish only for two people, it is very likely that you will have to take what is left home. Their chickpeas and the fried calamari are also very tasty. Go early to avoid waiting!
