✔ To take into account before taking the route
This is a route that You will necessarily have to do it from the north to the south. We do not recommend doing it the other way around, since you will spend a lot of time walking. As you can see from the features, it is quite long, the climb will be at least 5 hours. We will pass through beautiful places on the island such as Firgas, Valsendero and Cross of Tejeda during the climb. At this last point you can buy food and water.
During the entire route you will have to carry the bike about 5 times, but without much difficulty. We recommend leaving first thing in the morning, even at night if you want to complete it in a single day. If you are going to go on an electric bicycle, it will be necessary to carry two batteries, since the climbs by land are steep and broken in certain parts.
During the descent we recommend that you make several stops to rest. The descents are mostly made of stuck stone and are quite tiring. After crowning the Las Nieves Peak, recharge water and remember that there is still the climb of La Manzanilla (337m of positive slope), so the effort is not over. From the highest point, there are still 3 to 5 hours to reach the Lighthouse of Maspalomas, depending on your physical shape and the stops you make.
