In this entry we will talk to you about a bike route through Artenara with the Gravel Bike. It is really a circular route that leaves from the Los Chorros intersection, through the area of Firgas. However, the destination is to reach the town of Artenara. This is an ideal route at any time of the year due to the type of terrain.
Bike route through Artenara
This excursion is perfect for a Gravel Bike or Cross Country (XC) bike. It has approximately a 50% easy wide dirt tracks and 10% easy trails. There is only one part in which you will have to get off the bike, reaching the highest point of the route in Cross of Tejeda. We will pass through the town of Firgas, go up dirt tracks and continue along the Pinos de Gáldar heading to the town of Artenara. Once there, we passed through the well-known Unamuno Viewpoint, within the town of Artenara.
Later we began the return going up the Knight Caves. Next we will connect with some paths that lead to Cruz de Tejeda. From there we will then go up a little more to take a path that leaves us at the Aríñez intersection. Finally, we will then go down to the starting point by road.

El route time is almost 4 hours in motion (depends on the rhythm). With a positive slope of 1775 m in just under xnumxkm. We have two supply points. In the town of Artenara or Cruz de Tejeda. Here you can buy water or food to continue your route.
