The Yazmina bar in Telde is famous because of its roast pork leg sandwich with tender Canarian cheese. This is one of the places where locals go when we want to eat a good sandwich and today we want to share it with you. Without a doubt, Bar Yazmina is or has been a pit stop for many people. What’s more, it is becoming increasingly popular even among those who travel to the island. We’ll tell you all about it!

Yazmina Bar, roast pork leg sandwich in Telde
In the Yazmina bar they specialise in roast pork leg. You can buy the pork leg to order or come here for one of the best pork leg sandwiches in Telde and on the island. The sandwich can be eaten just with roast pork with a touch of salt or with cheese or cheese and aioli. Therefore, it is not a bar where you will find other eating options and therefore not recommended for vegetarians either.

As we were saying, as well as tasting their delicious pata sandwich, you can also order a roast leg to take away. In Gran Canaria, when we organise an event at home, you can’t miss the roast pork with the wrinkled potatoes with mojo sauce. On the other hand, as you can see in the previous photo, when you bring a friend from abroad or with a Mainland Spain accent, the waiters joke about writing “made in Canary” on aluminium foil. They also prepare sandwiches to take away, something we recommend if you want to spend the day on one of Telde’s beaches.

Bar Yazmina is like a factory for making sandwiches, we estimate that they make around 500 sandwiches a day. Their waiters work in a coordinated and very fast way. They have a waiter for each function: one takes the order, another prepares sandwiches, another serves the drink and another collects the money. So in less than five minutes you’ll have your sandwich delivered. A curious thing about the Yazmina cafeteria is that when someone leaves a tip, all the waiters shout “booooteee” and then say “siaaaaah”.
