If you are reading these lines it is because want to know more about Aguadulce beach in Telde. It is one of the least known beaches in Gran Canaria. And the truth is that it is something a bit strange, since as we are going to show you below, it is one of the most beautiful.
Aguadulce Beach, Telde
Did you know that Aguadulce Beach is one of the few on the Telde coast with golden sand? Amazing. Likewise It is one of the smallest, with only 140m in length. And this Telde beach It is more of a cove. A small paradise with crystal clear waters. Of course, you should know that the orientation of the beach means that the wind blows frequently here. Therefore, in addition to being somewhat windy, garbage from the industrial zone of El Goro accumulates. Although, we understand that the Telde City Council has control over its cleaning.
At the same time, you must keep in mind that In Aguadulce there are no services of any kind. That is, there are no toilets, no security, no restaurants, no showers. Likewise, access by car is easy and there is parking available a few steps away. Nevertheless, Being a practically virgin area, it is not an accessible beach for people with reduced mobility. To get to the sand you have to go down a small path. This trail is just a few steps from the parking lot. In the next photo we can see the dune through which we have to descend on foot to the beach.
In any case, without a doubt, This area of Gran Canaria is one that is worth visiting to discover the most authentic side of the island.
How to get to Aguadulce beach, Telde
Getting to Aguadulce and Tufia may seem easy, but it is not. And from the highway there is no sign indicating the detour that must be taken to access these beaches. You must take the El Goro exit and once in El Goro look for the brown sign that indicates Tufia. Ideally, you should use your GPS, Google maps or Waze, since it is quite easy to get lost in the industrial area of El Goro.
Note that On these beaches the telephone coverage is very poor and that If you want to spend the day we recommend that you take food with you. Our suggestions are: sandwich Bar Yazmina if you come from Las Palmas o squid sandwich in Ojos de Garza if you come from the south of Gran Canaria.

On the other side of Aguadulce beach, we find the famous beach of Tufa. They are so close to each other that it is difficult to understand how Tufia is made of black sand and Aguadulce is made of golden sand. Furthermore, in Tufia there is absolutely no wind, so if it is windy on the neighboring beach, you always have a plan B. As you can see in the following photo, the Morro de Tufia makes it protected from the wind.
