Kim’s Pojangmacha restaurant, home made Korean food

30/09/2021 Por Local Guide Gran Canaria

We could say that Kim’s Pojangmacha is the most delicious and cheapest Korean restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The truth is that if it had not been recommended to us the first time we went, we would never have thought to enter the restaurant. And the thing is that the place is a bit shabby, but if you already come informed, it will cost you less to enter hehe.

Kim’s Pojangmacha restaurant

The restaurant is not very big, it can have 4 or 5 tables. The same owner assembles and disassembles on demand. At the same time, he is the cook and in turn the waiter, three in one. We show you a photo of the kitchen and bar, everything is visible.

The place does not have much variety, but everything we have eaten here is always fresh and delicious. In addition, the same owner cooks and serves you at the table. We show you the letter below. As you can see, you can order half a portion of each dish. It is one of the cheapest restaurants in Las Palmas.

As a starter, he usually gives you a taste of kimchi cabbage (somewhat spicy). Also a little seaweed salad top. The aperitif is a courtesy. The other dish that you see in the next photo is the vegetable pancake

We also tried the mandu or fried gyozas. He recommended us to order half portion because we went just two people. This dish was a bit spicy, but yummy yummy.

Finally, the best dish from our opinion was the Bibimbap. Simply rice, vegetables, egg and a spicy sauce. The rice and the vegetables were specially different cooked and the mix with the sauce and the egg was sooooo nice and healthy too.

Furthermore he has in its offer fried chicken with a kind of barbecue sauce. Moreover, the beer that he has is Estrella Galicia, quite nice from the north of Spain.

Good price

Concerning the price, it is cheap if we think about the food quantity. However, if we have a look at the restaurant we can say that not that much. In total we have paid € 25 with two bottles of water, no dessert and no alcohol. The true thing is that we were full!!
