Recently, some friends recommended us the Korean restaurant Kim’s Pojangmacha in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria city. If they wouldn’t have recommended it we won’t never have tried it because of its appearance. Restaurants like this (not so fancy) if they offer good food and at a good price, they only work by word of mouth.
The restaurant is not that big. It could have 4 or 5 tables. The same owner set up and dismantle the restaurant depending on the reservations that he has. The restaurant owner is also the chef and waiter. Below you can check the kitchen and the bar, everything could be seen from the tables.
What can we eat at Kim’s Pojangmacha
Well, we don’t want that you stop reading, so that we will tell you how was the gastronomic experience. The menu is described by the owner making some clarifications of it. They doesn’t have a lot of variety, but everything that we tried it was fresh and delicious. Moreover, the service was quite quick even when he is doing everything.
First, he offered us a kind of appetizer from Kimchi cabbage (a bit spicy). Also a small salad of algae. This was an invitation while we waited for the main courses. Concerning the main dishes, we ordered what he suggested, the veggie omelette.
We also tried the fried gyozas. He recommended us to order half portion because we went just two people. This dish was quite spicy, even more than the Kimchi, but yummy yummy. Let’s say that we prefer the gyozas from Aka Fresco restaurant.
Finally, the best dish from our opinion was the Bibimbap. Simply rice, vegetables, egg and a spicy sauce. The rice and the vegetables were specially different cooked and the mix with the sauce and the egg was sooooo nice and healthy too.
Concerning the price, it is cheap if we think about the food quantity. However, if we have a look at the restaurant we can say that not that much. In total we have paid € 25 with two bottles of water, no dessert and no alcohol. The true thing is that we were full!!
Furthermore he has in its offer fried chicken with sauce. Moreover, the beer that he has is Estrella Galicia, quite nice from the north of Spain.
