Sunset in Gran Canaria
Then we will tell you about the best sunsets that we have seen in Gran Canaria. If you know any site that we cannot miss and want to share with everyone, please leave a comment at the end of this article.
1. Sunset in Arguineguín
One of our favorite places to enjoy the best sunset in Gran Canaria is the fishing village of Arguineguín. As you can see in the following image, it is one of the most spectacular that you can see on the island.

2. Sunset in Puerto de Mogán
This point is becoming more and more known to see the sunset in Gran Canaria. Next to Puerto de Mogán (between the pier and the mountain) there is a small path that borders the cliff. It is a site that is usually fenced, but if you are careful, it should not be dangerous. The truth is that it is not conditioned (with garbage nearby), but once you advance down the small path, you will forget everything. On clearer days you can see Tenerife and El Teide as the protagonist.

3. Sunset in Roque Nublo
The Roque Nublo is one of the emblems of Gran Canaria and, at the same time, one of the highest points. Seeing the sunset from here we believe without a doubt that it is something you have to do at least once in your life. Remember to bring headlamps for the return and warm clothing. The following photo was taken when the sun was gone. Trust us, the sunset from here is enigmatic.

4. Sunset in Maspalomas & Meloneras
Maspalomas beach and the Meloneras promenade also enjoy an enviable sunset every day. You choose the place to enjoy it: a sand dune, the Maspalomas Lighthouse or the Meloneras promenade. The one that we show you below is from the Meloneras promenade at very low tide.

5. Sunset in Las Canteras beach
When the sun sets on playa de Las Canteras it is also a spectacle. However, keep in mind that it is not always clear as it is the north of Gran Canaria. As you may know, there is often a donkey belly. Another area a few steps from Las Canteras to watch the sunset is in El Confital. Choose the one you prefer!

6. Sunset in Sardina del Norte
Sardina del Norte is a coastal town that belongs to the municipality of Gáldar. Due to its orientation, you can appreciate beautiful and colorful sunsets from its beach or Sardina pier. A few kilometers away is the Sardina lighthouse, from here you can also see the sunset, although it is a windier area.

7. Sunset in Puerto de Las Nieves
In Puerto de Las Nieves, a few steps from the town of Agaete, you can also enjoy spectacular sunsets with Tenerife in the background and the cliffs of Gran Canaria as your companions. A good place to enjoy it is either from the harbor promenade or from the Skybar of the Occidental Roca Negra hotel. The one we show you below is from the Skybar.

8. Sunset in Cruz de Tejeda
The photo that we show you below with Roque Bentayga in the background was taken a few meters from Cruz de Tejeda by car. However, there are trails in the area where you can find a place clear of trees to see a similar sunset. The sunsets in the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria are also gorgeous!

9. Sunset in Patalavaca beach
Another place to watch the sunset in Gran Canaria is the Patalavaca beach. It is one of the places in Gran Canaria where it is always clear, so you can see pictures like the following throughout the year. Keep in mind that the area is touristy with several apartments around it, but very loved by the people of Gran Canaria.

10. Sunset in El Garañón
Last, but not least, if you want the sunset with El Teide and El Roque Nublo in the background, the best place to enjoy it is in the El Garañón camp. You must walk a few meters towards the Los Hornos Dam and look for a clear space to sit down, just before starting the descent along a stone path towards the dam!
