If you are in the capital and you are looking for a nice steak house in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, here are our favourites. At the end of the article you can share your favourite so that, together, we can enrich this blog.
1) Grill Casa Miranda, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
This restaurant is one of the first we would recommend if you want to eat grilled meat in Gran Canaria. At the table they put a cooking griddle so you can grill it to your liking and it doesn’t get cold. The restaurant Grill Casa Miranda is on the outskirts of the capital, just a few minutes away from the Caldera of Bandama. In addition, to accompany their meats they have exquisite wines from the area, that is, D.O. Gran Canaria.
2) Casa Carmelo, Las Canteras
Right on the Las Canteras beach promenade, overlooking the sea, we also have another excellent steak restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. They have a grill where they cook all their specialities: sirloin steak, T-bone steak, churrasco, entrecôte, lamb chops, etc. One of the dishes we love to order here is their tender veal escalope with potatoes. Top!
3) El Churrasco, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y Meloneras
Another steak restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria famous for its free-range Angus Aberdeen beef raised on pasture in Argentina is El Churrasco. They also have the best cuts of Rubia Gallega or national beef. In the capital they are in Calle Olof Palme, just a few steps from Las Canteras. They have another steakhouse in Maspalomas, on the Meloneras promenade. If you want to enjoy a good steak in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria or in the south, this is an option to consider.
If you are looking for the best steak house in Playa del Inglés, we can not recommend you any. The only one that we know is nice in the south is the Churrasco Meloneras.
4) El Gallo Feliz, Las Canteras
If you are looking for a meat fondue, El Gallo Feliz is a must on your gastronomic route of restaurants in Las Palmas. Here they serve the traditional fondue with broth and more than 10 different sauces. This way, you can cook each veal fillet yourself and combine it with the sauce you like best. By the way, their fries are a dream.
5) Novillo Precoz, zona Puerto-Canteras
Another classic place to eat meat in Gran Canaria is the Uruguayan restaurant El Novillo Precoz, run by a Uruguayan family. And we know what Uruguayan meat is like. They are in the Puerto-Canteras area. Their menu includes delicacies such as veal vacuum and the tenderloin. Incidentally, this is the birthplace of the famous Uruguayan polvito in Gran Canaria. A dessert that was soon imitated by many restaurants on the island.
6) La Tabla Caliente, Las Canteras
Another very traditional option to eat meat in the capital and just a few steps away from the Las Canteras promenade is La Tabla Caliente. Here we love their cour de filet Provençal, recommended for at least two people. This is the dish below. Also popular is their Uruguayan sirloin steak tartar and sirloin steak a la tabla with mashed potatoes and Béarnaise sauce. This sirloin is served on a wooden board, hence the name of the establishment.

7) Casa Brito, Arucas
The Casa Brito restaurant is one of the best to enjoy grilled meat in Gran Canaria. Its menu includes Wagyu beef, T-bone steaks and beef tenderloin from Rubia Gallega or Simmental cows, different types of acorn-fed Iberian pork, sirloin steak from Uruguay or Argentina and suckling lamb or suckling pig. 8) Steakhouse Las Lilas, Ingenio
If you are a lover of good meat, you have to visit the Steak Houese Las Lilas in El Carrizal. Both the service and the quality of the meat is excellent. The last time we went we ordered this Simmental beef cutlet (Germany) to share between three of us. Spectacular. They also have Spanish meats such as National Angus, Vaca Rubia and Betanzos (Galicia), Txogitxu (Basque Country), Retinta (Sierra de Cádiz) and Frisona (Asturias or Canary Islands). Please note that the restaurant is in an industrial area, but you can combine it with a visit to the village of Ingenio before or after the meal.
9) Grill La Cruz, Lomo Blanco, Telde
If you are a fan of escalopes, you really have to go to Grill La Cruz on the road to Lomo Blanco in Telde. The reality is that their restaurant is quite hidden and not fancy at all, but it’s worth going to try their escalopes. You can order it with different kinds of sauces or just on its own. It’s delicious. Make a note of these places to see in Telde if you need ideas on what to do nearby.
10) Arcos de Laguna, Valleseco
If you fancy some Segovian specialities (suckling pig and shoulder of lamb), Arcos de La Laguna is one of the island’s reference points. They also have a wide variety of freshly grilled meats. This restaurant can be combined with various routes that we suggest in the section on hiking in Gran Canaria. It is also just a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Valleseco and La Laguna de Valleseco, an ideal thing to do in Gran Canaria for families. Another positive aspect of this restaurant is that it has private parking.
Finally, we recommend you try the steak tartar and suckling pig at Deliciosa Marta, one of the best restaurants in Gran Canaria. It’s not a steak restaurant as such, but these two meat dishes are a real treat. But if you have to marry a steak tartar, Sarang Las Palmas is a different story!
