This is route hiking in Teror We fell in love with it and now we have to share it with you. It is a circular that starts from the old town of Teror with various points of interest. We highlight the Barranco de Sintes, Cruz de Hoya Alta, La Agujerada, Barranquillo del Ojero and a cave with views of Teror. We can classify it as a intermediate level route, given that it is only 8,5 kilometers. However, it has several steep climbs that are not suitable for everyone. Hence we can enjoy incredible views! Hiking route in Teror: Cruz de Hoya Alta and La Agujerada
As we said, this is beautiful walk through Teror part of the town and is circular. You must know that hehe first 6-7 kilometers are part of the official 21 km track of the trail race Los Picos de Challenge Teror 2024. We do it we have cut it to just over 8 kilometers incorporating other sites of interest, since we have already completed the next part of the path in the 13 km version that we already shared with you (you can see it in the previous link). Places of interest on the route through La Agujerada de Teror
In addition to the natural environment, There are several points of interest along the way. Below, we mention the most important ones:
- Teror helmet: Starting point of the route.
- Chorizo Factory Teror The Nuts
- Sintes Ravine (small detour to visit it)
- Hoya Alta Cross. The Cross is raised every May 1 and remains decorated and lit throughout the month. It is tradition that the inhabitants of the town visit it at least once during this month. In addition, it lights up in September during the Pine Festival and on special occasions.
- The Hole. One of the most characteristic natural monuments of the municipality.
- Barranquillo del Ojero
- Caves Road. Highlights a great cave overlooking Teror.

The trail has a length of about 8,5 kilometers and it took us about 2,5 hours to complete it walking-running, although we made stops to record the video that we share with you at the end. On the other hand, although It is not a very long distance, keep in mind that it has a total ascent of 577 m. That is, if you are not in good physical shape, can be hard.

The main rise is at beginning when the climb towards the Cruz de Hoya Alta begins, but once you reach it, you have to go up a bit more to link with La Agujerada Teror. After The path is more bearable and you will walk with spectacular views, because the trail reaches almost 1.000 meters of altitude (957 meters to be exact).
IMPORTANT: We recommend bringing at least 1 liter of water per person and some snacks, since you won't find any stores along the way. Likewise, it is important to carry hiking shoes, since you will find yourself with very pending pronounced which can be slippery.
