Green Route Firgas in Gravel Bike (Ruta Verde)

09/01/2023 Por Local Guide Gran Canaria Leave a Comment

In this article we share with you a 32.6 km Gravel Bike route around the municipality of Firgas through very green and hidden spots. For example, it passes through the road of Las Carpinteras, a very unknown and little frequented road, which gives it a special charm. For us, it is one of the most beautiful gravel bike routes in Gran Canaria. In fact, along the way it seems as if you’ve been teleported to the island of La Palma because of the lush vegetation you’ll find. We’ll tell you all about it!

Green route through Firgas on gravel bike: trails, tracks and road

As it is a circular route, you can start from the point that suits you best. Although we recommend that you do it from Firgas or Cruce de Los Chorros. It can be done with any MTB or Gravel Bike and is of a simple technical level. Although, you have to be careful on rainy days, as the red earth that makes up these paths becomes very slippery when wet. There is a point during the route where you will have to carry the bike and climb two small steps of earth and stones.

Characteristics of the route

You will hardly find anyone around here. Be careful on rainy days, as the red earth that makes up these roads becomes very slippery when wet. Like any good route on a Gravel bike, at this point you will have to carry the bicycle and climb two small steps of earth and stones. It is also an ideal time to make a stop and eat something. Since it is completely isolated. It seems that we have been transported to the island of La Palma for its leafy vegetation. It is one of the greenest parts of Gran Canaria.
