In this post we are going to talk about our top 10 restaurants with sea views in Gran Canaria. The places that we will mention below are of local food, fundamentally Canarian with Mediterranean influences. Of course there are many restaurants overlooking the sea with food of all kinds, but here are our favorites and with Canarian food as a main offer. And they are our favorites not only for their gastronomic offer, but for the environment in which they find themselves. Do you dare to try them?

Restaurants with sea views in Gran Canaria
Being on Gran Canaria and not taking advantage to enjoy Canarian food overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is a crime. Therefore, with this entry we will try to help you enjoy the sea at each meal. Here is our top 10 in order of preference, although many times we would not know which one to put before another. It’s hard, believe us.
1. La Marinera and Casa Carmelo restaurants, Las Canteras beach (€€€)
These restaurants are some of our favorite sea-view Canarian restaurants in the city. La Marinera specialises in fish and Casa Carmelo in meat, both on the seafront of Las Canteras beach. Both restaurants are owned by the same owner and have common dishes on their menus, such as the super salad shown below. We also recommend the gofio, the octopus, the white grouper or the vieja (parrot fish). At Casa Carmelo the escalope with papas paja (thin potatoes) is very tasty.

If you are going to visit the capital, take a look at our post about things to do in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, it will be of great help.
2. Restaurant La Pizarra, one of the best restaurants with sea views (€€€)
A must on the coast of Gáldar is the fishing village of Sardina del Norte. Here we recommend the restaurant La Pizarra. They have a terrace directly overlooking the beach of Sardina and also a completely renovated indoor dining room. We recommend you try the fresh local fish such as the vieja (parrot fish).

3. Dorado del Norte, Arucas (€€)
We didn’t take a picture of the sea view, but in this restaurant you will eat right next to the beaches of Puertillo and Los Charcones. We recommend ordering the fried longorones (anchovies) and sardines, gofio and any fresh fish such as vieja or chopa. They also have local wines. This area of the coast of Arucas is very frequented by locals, so if you want to get a table, we recommend going at 1:00pm. Have a look to our post about all the things to do in Arucas to complete your visit.

4. La Bahía del Pajar, restaurants with sea views in Arguineguín (€)
In the town of El Pajar, a few kilometers from the fishing village of Arguineguín, we find two restaurants on the beachfront of Santa Águeda: El Boya and La Bahía del Pajar. Without a doubt our favorite is La Bahía del Pajar. Here you will be able to taste delicious dishes of seafood at a good price. For example, squid, bluefin tuna, squid, etc. They also have a delicious grilled cheese and salad.

5. La Marisma restaurant, El Altillo (€€€)
At the same time, on the coast of Moya we have one of the best restaurants in the north of Gran Canaria: La Marisma. Here you will find the best meat, as well as fresh fish from the area. They also have very rich homemade desserts such as the local manga, the gofio mousse, polvitos and huevos mole. Of course, call and reserve your table overlooking the sea, since not all of them overlook the window that we show you below. You have here more info about La Marisma restaurant.

6. Mao Mao beach, Las Burras (€€)
If you are looking for restaurants in the south of Gran Canaria with sea views, you should also try the beach bar Mao Mao. We recommend the Galician-style octopus, the veal laps and the calamari. Of course, this bar doesn’t accept reservations, so you’ll have to be there early to get a table. It’s right on Las Burras beach, so the views are unbeatable.

7. Bar Zurita, Ojos de Garza beach (€)
Next to the beach of Ojos de Garza, in the municipality of Telde, we find the famous Zurita Bar. Here they have the specialty of ropa vieja of octopus. Although the fried calamari and potatoes with mojo are delicious too. It is difficult to get a table, so it is highly recommended to be there soon.

8. Miramar San Cristóbal, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (€€)
One of the restaurants in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with sea views to consider is the Miramar restaurant in the fishing village of San Cristóbal. Both the rooftop terrace and the indoor dining room have sea views. They specialise in Canarian food and seafood such as gofio escaldado or fried fish tacos. We don’t have photos of their terrace, but we do have photos of one of the dishes we tried here.

9. El Rincón Canario restaurant, Playa del Águila (€€€)
We also love this place because of its proximity to the sea, potatoes with mojo and squid. Although they also have an exquisite avocado and watercress salad. We leave you here a post of what to see in the area of playa del Águila and Pirata or Morro Besudo, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Since it changed owners, we haven’t been back. What hasn’t changed for sure is its direct view of the ocean.

10. Locanda El Roque, Moya (€€€)
In the north of Gran Canaria, on the road to San Felipe, you can enjoy one of the restaurants with the best views of the sea, as the view is 360º. As for the service, we have to say that the owner of the restaurant is a bit special and sometimes he serves well, sometimes not. The lady is a sweetheart. In any case, the food is great. They have fresh fish and also some Italian dishes (the owners are Italian), the price is above average, but you have to pay for the location.

We hope that with this post you can not only enjoy the Canarian gastronomy, but also get to know some of the places to visit in Gran Canaria. If you want to recommend any other restaurant in Gran Canaria with ocean views, we’ll read you in the comments!
