Pasito Blanco beach, a privileged area in the south of Gran Canaria

26/04/2022 Por Local Guide Gran Canaria Leave a Comment

In this article we are going to talk about Pasito Blanco beach and everything that this private area of Gran Canaria offers. Pasito Blanco is usually the starting point for yacht rentals on the island, especially for boat hire in Gran Canaria with a skipper. Below we will give you all the details about this amazing place on the island!

Pasito Blanco

It is located in the south of the island, within the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. It is a private residential area that at the same time has a small port, a beach club called La Punta Yacht Club and a small beach. Access by car is only allowed for those who have a boat, a residence or are staying in one of its private holiday homes. Therefore, we can say that it is a space that only a privileged few can enjoy. However, if you want to visit Pasito Blanco beach, you can do it as there are not private beaches on the island, but you must do it on foot.

Pasito Blanco beach

This beach is not one of the largest in Gran Canaria, it is just 200 meters long. It is characterized by its dark sand and calm waters, making it ideal for families. However, you must bear in mind that from the closest parking area you have to walk about 600 meters to the beach (in case you are heavily loaded). Moreover, keep in mind that the beach does not have any type of service, that is, no sunbeds, no toilets, or showers, and it is not accessible for people with reduced mobility.

In some digital media they also call it El Hornillo beach, although the reality is that all the locals call it Pasito blanco beach.

La Punta Yacht Club

La Punta, as we call it in Gran Canaria, is a kind of beach club where you can sunbathe, have a drink and eat with views of the beach and port of Pasito Blanco. It has a chill out space, a terrace-dining area and then a solarium area with sunbeds for rent.

You should know that access to La Punta is only for members during the months of July, August and at Easter. In the months between March and October they open from 10:00am to 11:00pm, that is, also for dinners. However, from November to February they are only open from 10:30am to 6:30pm.

On the other hand, it has a platform from which you can jump directly into the Atlantic Ocean and take a dip. The bathing area is bounded with buoys, since it is an area where ships pass.

Villas in Pasito Blanco

Pasito (little step) is one of the safest and quietest to stay in Gran Canaria. As we told you at the beginning, to access the urbanization you must pass a security check. Do not worry, for holiday homes, villas and tourist apartments an exception is made and passage is allowed. We leave you below with a link so you can see all the accommodation options, prices and availability in Pasito.
