In short, we will tell you about places to go out for a drink in the capital and cool places of Gran Canaria. Here we go!

Nightlife in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
One of the things to do in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is to enjoy its nightlife. However, you should know that it does not have many nightclubs, but it does have a wide range of pubs and places to have a drink. Concerning nightclubs, you have the option of Chester Las Palmas with two floors and a small outdoor terrace. The music is commercial and is located in the Parque Santa Catalina area. On the other hand, in Las Canteras beach it is the Moma Club with house music.

There are also two outdoors nightclubs in Las Palmas: the Copas terrace (port area) and the Tao terrace (Ciudad Jardín), both with commercial music. Moreover, in 2022 Alboroto was inaugurated. It is one of the few clubs in Las Palmas in the Triana area (if not the only one). The place is very cool because it has an outdoor patio and the interior is quite large, but we haven’t been yet! Finally, a kind of small nightclub that is also good is the Bravia Las Palmas, it is in the port area.
Places to have a drink in Las Palmas
As we told you at the beginning, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria we have many places to recommend for a drink. We are going to mention both pubs, taverns and bars. There are also areas of bars where the city’s nightlife is concentrated.
✔ La Azotea de Benito, Triana-Vegueta
This was one of the first rooftops in Las Palmas. A terrace at the top of a building with views of Vegueta old town and Triana neighborhoods. They have an extensive menu of cocktails and beers. It is one of the coolest places in the city to have a drink.

✔ Guanarteme neighborhood
The Guanarteme neighborhood is where the largest area of pubs and bars in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is concentrated. Here are places such as El Viajero, La Terminal, Volga and La Cervecería Edison that we showed you at the beginning.

In the Guanarteme area you also have the option of having a drink in the Plaza de Farray. Here you can find a wide range of bars with a terrace to have a drink and even some pubs.

On the other hand, a little further from the main bars in Guanarteme, we find Talleres Palermo. An old carpentry converted into a bar where you can have a drink and buy vintage furniture and decorative items.

✔ Taj Rooftop & Lounge, Las Alcaravaneras
At the top of the new Silken Saaj hotel, the Taj Rooftop & Lounge is incorporated into the city’s rooftops offer. Here in addition to having a drink, you can eat. On weekends they usually bring music groups (especially on Fridays). All this with views of Las Alcaravaneras beach.

✔ Valentina Las Palmas, nightlife in Gran Canaria (for vermouth lovers)

✔ Casablanca terrace, Las Canteras
In the same avenue of Las Canteras is the restaurant O’ Sole Mio La Casa Roja. It is a little red house located in the Luis Morote area. On the top floor it has one of the best views of the beach. It is not a pub as such, simply a privileged place to have a drink and even eat.

✔ Aloe terrace, Las Canteras
In the area of La Puntilla de Las Canteras, inside the Aloe Canteras hotel, we also have another place to have a drink in Las Palmas with sea view.

✔ La Cícer, Las Canteras
In the La Cícer area we also find several bars with a terrace to have a drink. They are the NYC Taxi, The Block and The Mumbai Sunset.

Nightlife in Gran Canaria (south of the island)
Most of the nightlife in Gran Canaria is found in the southern part of the island. Today the most trendy places are the Mamajuana, Chester Meloneras, the Botánico terrace inside the Holiday World Maspalomas and the Café del Mar and Bahama Beach house, both in Meloneras. Moreover, in the Nomad Gastro Market of the Holiday World there are very good vibes on weekends because they have live music.

Actually, clubs as such in the south is only the Chester Meloneras, the rest are simply places to have a drink in the south. For example, in the area of Playa del Inglés, there are many pubs and bars. Especially in the area of the Kasbah Shopping Center. The same happens with the nightlife in Puerto Rico. It is a very touristy area and you might see many drunks around. Finally, in Maspalomas we also have the area of gay bars and clubs in the Yumbo Shopping Center. A site that is already known worldwide among the LGBTI community.

On the other hand, the El Aquelarre terrace has become trendy in Telde. It has a beautiful roof top terrace and on the ground floor a large room with reserved spaces. The concept is somewhat calmer, an ideal place to have a drink in Gran Canaria.

Finally, in the village of Agaete on the top floor of the Occidental Roca Negra hotel they have a nice terrace to have a drink during the day and also enjoy the sunset.

Beach Clubs in Gran Canaria
The beach clubs of Gran Canaria are a great plan if you don’t like nightlife and you are more of a day plan. Here, in addition to having fun, you can swim and get tan. In Gran Canaria we have several sites that work on the beach club concept, ideal for events, bachelor parties, meetings with friends, etc. Within this type of leisure in Gran Canaria, we highlight the Kai Club in Patalavaca beach, the Maroa in Anfi beach and the Nativo Las Palmas in the northern coast of the island.

Finally, the famous clubbing company in Las Palmas named Chester has not stopped expanding, first with its Chester Meloneras and now with the Chester Beach Club. Do you already know it? Not us yet. We do have to add that it is located in Puerto Rico, one of the most touristy areas of the island. If you only care about having fun and you don’t mind about the environment, go ahead!
