If you’re a fan of Asian food, we’re confident you will relish our recommendation of the Korean cuisine at Mandu Las Palmas restaurant. Are you ready to discover it? Let’s dive in!

Mandu Las Palmas, Korean restaurant in Gran Canaria
Mandu Las Palmas is more than just a Korean restaurant in Gran Canaria – it’s a brand. They currently have three locations in the capital: Las Canteras, Juan XXIII, and the Los Alisios shopping center. You have multiple chances to transport yourself to the streets of Seoul without leaving Gran Canaria. Each restaurant offers different dishes, not only from Korea but from other parts of Asia as well, especially Japan. Plus, some of their dishes have slight variations from the original Korean recipe, though never losing the essence.

Mandu Las Palmas, a menu packed with delicacies
As we mentioned earlier, each Mandu Korean restaurant practically offers all the traditional Korean dishes. From bibimbap to kimchi, and of course, the famous mandu, a type of Korean dumpling from which the restaurant takes its name. One of our favorite dishes here is the bulgogi – stir-fried beef with vegetables, soy sauce, and white rice. You can order it with extra lettuce to make the classic rolls, something very typical in Korea.

In their restaurants, you can also try soju, a distilled beverage made from rice. They have the original and also various flavored versions. In Korea, it’s typically mixed with beer. Would you dare to try it? For dessert, if you like mochis (Japanese pastries), they offer various flavors. The green tea flavor is particularly enchanting, although they also have chocolate and banana ones that melt in your mouth!

On their website, you can find the menu for their Korean restaurant in Las Canteras, as well as for Los Alisios and Mandu in Juan XXIII. The latter is the one we visited recently and from which we are showing you photos. We love its decoration, the most original we’ve seen in Gran Canaria. They also have a private dining room. Finally, you should know that this location has a delicious sushi and sashimi proposal (as does Los Alisios). You must definitely order the salmon uramaki with sesame, avocado, and cucumber. Delicious.

Korean food menu of the day
If you are looking for daily menu restaurants in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, you should know that in their restaurants in Juan XXIII and Los Alisios they have a midday menu from Tuesday to Thursday for €12,95, and at Los Alisios also on Monday and Friday. The menu includes kimbab, mandu, miso soup and salad. For mains, you can choose from the following options:
- Donkatsu, breaded pork fillet with rice
- Japchae, sweet potato noodles with beef and vegetables
- Dakchorim, marinated chicken thighs with vegetables and rice
- Bulgogi, veal with vegetables and rice
The one in Las Canteras does not have a menu, but it is ideal to enjoy the sea views. Also, this is where the first Mandu was opened, a Korean restaurant in Las Palmas that started without a name until the second generation of this family took over the business.
