La Marisma restaurant: fresh fish with sea view in Moya

12/11/2021 Por Local Guide Gran Canaria

La Marisma restaurant has a wide Mediterranean and local cuisine with sea views. This establishment is in first line of the district of El Altillo, in the municipality of Moya. A privileged location that will allow you to be eating and breathing the Atlantic breeze at the same time. It is an ideal place for family meals, but if you plan to visit it on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, you better book or go before 1:30 pm to get a good table or just not having to wait. If you like, we’ll tell you everything below.

In La Marisma you will be able to eat good Spanish and Canarian food, as well as delicious grilled meats, as it is also a grill. Also, in its offer there is always good fresh fish and seafood that you can see in the display coolers at the entrance of the restaurant.

Starters and main courses

On our last visit we tried the following dishes. As a starter, you can not miss the delicious gofio typical of our islands. For those who do not know, the red onion is to be used as a spoon.

We also wanted to try the fried sardines. They were very tasty!

Regarding the second ones, one of them was the steak of the country. Apparently of cows that live in San Lorenzo, Gran Canaria. Therefore, we see that in their menu they have KM0 products.

We also tried the fried calamari. A simple dish, but here they make it very yummy. Finally, in their fridge we saw a grilled red porgy fish and a fried grey triggerfish. The two dishes were very good.

The desserts

Concerning the desserts, they told us that they had mango from Arguineguín, with which we see another example of their support for local products.

We did not want to waste the opportunity and tried the manga, along with some delicious “huevos mole”, a typical Canarian dessert made mainly with gofio, sugar and egg yolk.
