If you are looking for hiking in Valleseco, in the interior of Gran Canaria, here are all the details of one excellent option. This is a circular route that starts in the village of Valleseco and passes through Valsendero, so you could set off from either point. We can say that this is an easy to intermediate level hiking route in Gran Canaria. The distance is not very long, but it has a total ascent of 525 metres. Hiking in Valleseco and Valsendero
Valleseco, despite its name, is one of the greenest municipalities of Gran Canaria. Therefore, during this route you will be able to enjoy the unique landscapes of Gran Canaria. Especially in the winter and spring months. At the same time, the route starts from Valleseco village, at an altitude of 1,000 metres, which means that during the winter months the temperatures in this area of the island are usually very cold, below 10 degrees Celsius. In our case, we did this route in February and we started at 10 o’clock in the morning with 8 degrees Celsius. And it was a sunny day.

Regarding the technical details, we can say that this hiking route through Valleseco is suitable for anyone who has ever been hiking before. We would even dare to say that you can do it with children from 10 years old onwards who are used to physical activity. In any case, it is important that you take into account the total ascent, as it is about 500 metres of ascent. It took us 2 and a half hours walking at a good pace.
