Fresquito Las Palmas cafe, yummy breakfast and lunch in the capital

01/01/2023 Por Local Guide Gran Canaria Leave a Comment

Fresquito Las Palmas has arrived in the capital of Gran Canaria to conquer the hearts of all who visit it. This cafe is located a few steps from Las Canteras beach, very close from the Playa Chica area. Here you will find a wide variety of sandwiches, toasts and other delicacies (we will detail them below). It is also a meeting point for many digital nomads who come here to work for its good coffee, quality WIFI connection and pleasant environment. Finally, if you have a pet, it is a place to take into account to come with your best friend as they are pet-friendly.

Next, we will tell you about our experience at Fresquito Las Palmas cafe and why it is a place to take into account to eat in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

✔ Breakfast and brunch

If you like breakfast, the good thing about Fresquito is that you can enjoy its menu, including the options most associated with breakfast, throughout the day. In other words, all their super toasts, sandwiches, bowls and pancakes can be ordered during their opening hours. From what we have tried, for now the pancakes that come with natural fruit and Nutella are winning, although you can also order them with bacon and egg if you are more salty.

On the other hand, their sandwiches are also mouthwatering. We loved their tuna melt sandwich (tuna, pickles and melted cheese). It should be noted that the breads they use for their toasts and sandwiches are sourdough bread from the Tarei bakery.

On the other hand, if you are vegan or vegetarian, here you will be able to order several options from their menu such as the falafel sandwich or the grated tomato or avocado toast.

✔ Lunch and snacks

Fresquito Las Palmas is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday (closed on Mondays). On Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. So you can also come to Fresquito for lunch and, during the week, also for a snack. Their tapas options are named here “La Picaeta” and they have some tasty proposals like its Spanish potato salad or pulled pork burger. We also recommend their Spanish omelette, one of the best in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

For lunch they tend to innovate and have things off the menu such as salads, rice dishes, a kind of Spanish pizza named (coca), vegetable soups, among others. Oh, and don’t forget to try their fresh juices, smoothies and lemonades.

Finally, if you’re a fan of sweets, ask for their homemade pastries. We recommend the cheesecake (with three different cheeses). For us, it’s one of the best we’ve tasted in the city.

✔ Work at Fresquito Las Palmas with nice WIFI, but better coffee

The truth is that in the capital there are hardly any cafes where you can work in peace, drink good coffee, have a good WIFI and, what’s more, eat well. Something always fails. In Fresquito you will be away from the hustle and bustle in a super nice environment, surrounded by little plants and just a few minutes walk from Las Canteras. In addition, the team is super pleasant and attentive.

✔ Pet friendly

This cafe is one of the pet friendly places in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. So here you will be able to come accompanied by your dog and stay in any of its dining rooms, both on the terrace and inside. Wonderful!
