In this post we want to share with you a good downhill bike route from Pico de Las Nieves to the coast of San Andrés, in the north of Gran Canaria. It is ideal to go with your Enduro bike or e-Bike, since you can enjoy a long descent with some climb. Below we give you more details, do not miss at the end the track of the route to do it on your own and the video of the route.
Depart from Pico de Las Nieves
This route starts from the Pico de Las Nieves, one of the highest points of Gran Canaria. You can go up by car or van (contact us and we will put you in contact with this type of service) to avoid pedaling uphill if possible. As you can imagine, you can also pedal up to the Pico de Las Nieves. This can take you more than four hours being in shape.

Route from Pico de Las Nieves to San Andrés by bike
The route is 36 km long, 2.375 m of which is downhill and 460 m of ascent. It has quite a few technical mid / high level drops. It runs through stone paths, dirt and a short stretch of asphalt to link roads. That is why it is interesting to do this route with an Enduro, All Mountain or Electric Enduro bike. At the viewpoint (start of the route) there is usually a kiosk with groceries (although with expensive prices). We recommend that you already go with your water and food for at least half a route. In Cruz de Tejeda, a picturesque place perfect for a rest, we will find several stalls to buy more water and food.

We continue through the DH of Cruz de Tejeda, Valleseco, Lanzarote and Monagas until we reach Firgas. This can be a good point for the last break if we don’t have enough water. After this point we will descend from the Azuaje Bath and we will finish with spectacular views by a good descent that leaves us on the beach of San Andrés. With stops the ride took us about 4 hours, of which we were on the move for 2 hours 15 minutes.
