Circular enduro route Cruz del Talayón

01/04/2023 - Ruth & Jorge

We have called this enduro route the Cruz del Talayón. Its main claim is that it goes through one of the longest downhill runs on the island of Gran Canaria. It is a circular route that also goes down two variants of mythical trails from the summit. Perfect for eBikes or hard-core fit!

The route begins in the town of Teror, in the area of its football field. It begins by going up the road, taking a detour along the way to tracks or trails. After the ascent, it reaches the Cruz de Tejeda, a place where we recommend you refill water and eat something at one of its stalls. Then the route continues to climb to begin the first descent. Pay attention! It has some possible variants, which (if they are downhill), end in the same place, so you can choose the one you like the most.

Then cross a road to continue with the unknown descent of the Recorcho, fun and fast. Once finished, go back up, to start one of the longest descents in Gran Canaria. The record is about 20 minutes without stopping, but the normal thing is to take about 30 and even 40 minutes. The final part was even part of one of the Spanish Enduro Championships. It is awesome. Enjoy it!
